MyNews is a powerful engine for delivering personalized news based upon four configurable targeting parameters:

1. Editorial Weight: how publisher sorts stories on the homepage
2. Popularity Weight: what other people online are currently reading
3. Relevance Weight: how “similar” a story is to the ones already read by the user
4. Keywords Weight: what keywords have to be in an article

These parameters combined with the analysis of:

• User’s reading events: seen stories are penalized
• User’s evaluation user: can rank stories for relevance

produce a number of personalized recommendations (this is a configurable parameter too) with the highest recommendation score with respect to the user.
The system is updated continuously according to the Editor schedule. All data refer exclusively to the user navigation on the publisher’s portal.

The system does not use personal or sensitive data to perform recommendations.
