Antarctica, the forgotten frontier. Flee! Flee! The ice cap is melting! What is that? Under the thinning ice. "It looks like....my God, I can scarcely believe my eyes!" The new millennium may bring a quote like this one. Current scientific paradigms rule out any big archaeological finds on the continent at the south pole. Man has been the conqueror of nature since the introduction of agriculture, followed by civilization. He has scoured every inch of the planet, even going to its moon several times. yet has barely scratched the surface of Antarctica. Does a surprise loom? Is the ice cap a time lock perhaps?

In the Biblical story, God threw man from the Garden of Eden and protected the place from man with "and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life."

Sounds scary! Doesn't sound like an ice cap. But a miles-thick ice cap and temperatures so low have certainly been effective in keeping inquisitive man away. Every direction is north when you are at the south pole.

If there is truly a God, he is a smart guy and knows the timetable of man's technology. If our technology is what is melting the icecap, then there could be a time lock left by a superior being who knew the ice would melt at a certain period of man's development.

This is not a prophecy, merely my speculation.
