Who was Osiris?

Osiris (also called An, As-Ar or Us-Ar) was the fabled first Pharaoh of Egypt during the Tep Zepi or first time. Ancient Egyptians revered him as a god. He abolished cannibalism and is credited with civilizing the primitive peoples of the Nile Valley. Some ancient cults of Osiris stll exist today among the African Dogon. The Dogon have beliefs regarding the Sirius star system. They have known of Sirius B, a companion star only recently hypothesized by science. In fact, the Dogon believe in a Sirius C. Modern science has not reached this conclusion, yet.
